We are Gatos Felices Benitatxel, a registered charity working for the benefit of the feral cats in Benitatxel. Our main aim is to give the cats a better and safer life whilst reducing the problems caused by any unattended colonies producing more litters of kittens.
We will do this by trapping the cats, checking their health and neutering them before returning them to their original location.
We will also take part in a region-wide census to identify and report the location and size of individual colonies.
We also aim to provide information and publicity about the do's and don'ts of supporting the street cats in Benitatxell.
Eventually we hope the feral cat colonies will live in harmony with our own communities and not be seen as a problem without a solution.
